Behartigt de belangen van Nederlandse boseigenaren, aannemers van boswerk en hun werknemers. Daarbij moet het
uitdrukkelijk rekening houden met de maatschappelijke belangen, zoals neergelegd in wet- en regelgeving en in
het overheidsbeleid. Het Bosschap heeft zelf ook regelgevende bevoegdheden, onder meer voor bosbeheer.

Koninklijke Nederlandse Bosbouw Vereniging.
Heeft als doel de bosbouw, het natuurbehoud en het landschapsbeheer in ruime zin te bevorderen. Het gaat ons
dus om de bosbouw in al haar facetten, met het oog op de vele functies die bos en beplantingen kunnen
vervullen.

Standpunt over bosbeheer. Staatsbosbeheer beheert bijna 25% van het Nederlandse bos, waarbij bosbeheer is "de
kunst verstaan om de verschillende functies die bossen vervullen met elkaar te combineren". Deze functies zijn
natuur- en landschapsbeheer, recreatie en houtproductie.

TBI is non governmental organization (NGO) linking research and science to forest policy and management. TBI
head office is based in the Netherlands. To meet the needs of policy makers and forest users, TBI facilitates

development programmes. TBI is currently operating and developing research in Cameroon, Colombia, Ghana,
